How can others help manage attendance in a meeting?
Currently the Attendance Taker app requires that you be a meeting host or co-host in order to take attendance. You can request host or co-host status in a meeting to get instant access. Additionally, you can share app access with a host or cohost if you're looking for help managing attendance.
After opening up the Attendance Taker app, click the icon in the top right that looks like a paper airplane:
You'll then be prompted to share app access with All Participants or just certain ones. They don't even need to download the app themselves, and they'll have app access for this one meeting. Reminder that only hosts and cohosts have permission to use the Attendance Taker! If you share the app with a meeting participant who hasn't been made a cohost, the attendance list will be blank.
If your use case requires that you take Attendance while not having host or co-host status, there is a workaround: we have a separate Meeting Timer and Attendance App that joins meetings as a Zoom participant. Because of this, it takes attendance in a different way, so it can take attendance even if you are not the meeting host. You can install that app here.
