Who selects who gets the talking stick?

There are two options for speaking order: Host Moderates or Participants Moderate.

When the Host moderates, the host can select the speaking order with the hand icons. Select to move to the next speaker or return to the previous speaker with the arrow buttons in the top box.

When "Participants Moderate" is selected, you'll be prompted to invite participants to use the eTalking Stick app. Participants do not need to have installed the app to be able to take part.

Participants will receive a popup or chat message on their Zoom, inviting them to use the app:

Then Participants can choose to add themselves to the speaking queue! Participants will see the speaking order, as shown here. They will not see the rest of the host's settings.
